Jack Heslewood representing England bested 71 other international candidates to win the title of Mister World 2019 on Friday night held at Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Philippines. He became the first English man to win the title and was sash by Mister World 2016, Rohit Khandelwal of India.
Apart from winning the crown, Heslewood, was one of the favourites to win the contest, and also a top-five candidate in the pageant’s Top Model category,
Fezile Mkhize of South Africa and Brian Arturo Gonzalez of Mexico were first runner-up and second runner-up respectively.
Completing the Top 5 were the representatives of Brazil, Carlos Wilton Franco, and Dominican Republic, Alejandro Martinez.
before the announcement of the top 7 out of the top 12, fast-track winners were announced who made a direct entry into the top 12. Talent competition was won by Mikaele Ahoman of Tonga, Extreme challenge went to Wayne Walsh of Ireland, Sports challenge winner was Mkhize of South Africa, Multimedia challenge was awarded to Akshay Rayamajhi of Nepal, and Arturo Gonzalez of Mexico won the top model competition.
After the coronation of the winner of Mister World 2019 title, continental winners were announced: Jody Baines Tejano Saliba of the Philippines was declared Mr. World Asia Oceania; Alejandro Martínez of Dominican Republic was Mr. World Caribbean; Arturo Gonzalez of Mexico was Mr. World Americas; Alberto Nodale of Austria was Mr. World Europe; and Fezile Mkhize of South Africa was Mr. World Africa.
The pageant was hosted by Miss World 2013 Megan Young and actor Mikael Daez.
