22-year-old Indian American student, Shree Saini, from Washington has been crowned as Miss India Worldwide 2018 during a gala held on Dec. 14 in Fords, New Jersey. Shree Saini bested more than 17 girls of Indian descent from different countries to win the 27th edition of the Miss India Worldwide pageant. The winner is of Punjab-origin and an anti-bullying activist who also has her own blog.
Sakshi Sinha from Australia and Anusha Sareen from the United Kingdom were respectively declared first and second runner-ups in the competition.
At the same event, Mrs India Worldwide 2018 was held simultaneously together with Miss India Worldwide 2018 where India’s Mandeep Kaur Sandhu, who hails from Haryana, was crowned as Mrs India Worldwide 2018.
Jeya Priya Pandian from Malaysia and Kavita Malhotra Pattani from USA were declared the first and second runner ups of the Mrs India Worldwide 2018 respectively.
The next edition of the Miss India Worldwide will be held in Mumbai in 2019, said Dharmatma Saran, chairman and founder of the India Festival Committee that organises the pageant.
