Miss India Manushi Chhillar wins Miss World 2017

20 yrs old Manushi Chhillar from India won the the 67th edition of the Miss World pageant held in Sanya, China 18 November 2017. She is the sixth Indian women to win the coveted crown. The last time India won Miss World was in 2000 when Priyanka Chopra won the crown in London.

Andrea Meza from Mexico and Stephanie Hill from England were adjudged as first runner-up and second runner-up respectively. Miss France and Miss Kenya were in the top 5.

Misses Indonesia, Jamaica, Indonesia, Russia and Korea were semifinalists while Misses  El Salvador, Japan, Macau, Mongolia and Nigeria were the quarter finalists.

This year a new format was introduced  ”Head-to-Head Challenge” where the winner of this challenge made it to the top 40 and Dances of the world returned after missing in last year edition. The next edition of Miss World will be held in the Philippines.
