Mister Thailand, Richard Keng Carter won the first edition of Mister Universe Tourism held at Palacio de Maynila, Manila, Philippines. The first ever winner, Richard stands 6’1 and a commercial model in Southeast Asia. He has been a big favourite from the time the pageant started. He is also an actor.

The first runner-up in the same competition was Kris Martin from Canada while Jin Stewart from Korea was declared second runner-up

Representatives from Philippines, Sudan, Pakistan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Manipur (India) and India were the other top 10 finalists.
