Mekdalawit Mequanent has been chosen as Miss Earth Ethiopia 2017. She will now travel to Philippines for Miss Earth 2017 pageant. The finals of Miss Earth 2017 will be held on  4 November 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Katherine Espín of Ecuador will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Mekdalawit Mequanent is a model from Addis Ababa. She recently competed in Super Model International 2017 in New Delhi where he bagged the 4th runner-up title and was awarded Supermodel of Africa.
