Priyadarshini Borah, a doctor and model from the Indian state of Assam recently won the award for ‘Best Talent’ at this year’s Miss Cosmopolitan World beauty pageant held on September 16, 2017 at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel in the beautiful country of Malaysia. Apart from winning the special award Dr. Priyadarshini Borah also placed amongst the top 10 finalists at the coronation night of this international beauty pageant.
Dr. Priyadarshini Borah won the annual Rubaru Miss India Elite pageant held on October 22, 2017 at Presidium Auditorium in Gurugram, India and got the right to represent India at the second edition of Miss Cosmopolitan World beauty pageant. Apart from winning the main title, Dr. Borah also won the special award for “Best Talent” at the Rubaru Miss India Elite beauty pageant. Thus, giving her a dual back to back victory at the national as well as international pageant.
This is for the first time that an Indian has won a special award at the Miss Cosmopolitan World pageant. Also, this is also for the very first time that an Indian delegate secured a top 10 placement at this international beauty contest. Standing 5 foot 9 inches tall, Priyadarshini is the first doctor to be crowned as the winner of Rubaru Miss India Elite contest. Dr. Borah hails from Nagaon, a city in the Indian state of Assam. Prior to winning Rubaru Miss India Elite 2016 pageant, she had also won Miss Assam Northeast title.
Dr. Borah performed a classical dance number on the popular song ‘Shape of You’ by Ed Sheeran. She mesmerized everyone with her graceful and elegant dance moves and was proclaimed the winner in the Talent category of this prestigious international pageant.
