Keio University senior Haruka Yamashita is selected in Tokyo on Sept. 4, 2017, to represent Japan at the Miss World pageant to be co-hosted by Singapore and China between Oct. 16 and Nov. 18, 2017.
Haruka bested 31 other hopefuls to wear the sash of Japan at 67th edition of the Miss World pageant. She succeeds Priyanka Yoshikawa, Miss World Japan 2016. Her runners-up were Rumi Shinoda (27), Saki Yamato (24) and Rina Nagauchi (25).
Haruka stands 170 cm and can speak fluent English and Japanese. She is into classic ballet, dancing, sports, cooking, ta ceremony, photography, traveling and art.
