Mister Supranational Japan 2017 recently took place in Japan’s ancient capital, Kamakura, south of Tokyo. Out of the six contestants representing different region of Japan, it was Mister Supranational Tokyo, Takanori Uekusa, who emerged as the best and took the title of Mister Supranational Japan 2017. Takanori succeeds Ricky Wakabayashi, Mister Supranational Japan 2016 who was a top 10 semi-finalist at Mister Supranational 2016.
At the same event, 1st Runner-up title was awarded to Riku Yuasa representing Tokushima while 2nd Runner-up spot went to Kazuhiro Hatomi who represented Ibaraki. Reigning Miss Supranational Japan 2017 Yuki Koshikawa also attended the crowning ceremony.
Takanori has traveled across North America to South America as a backpacker. He is fluent in English and Japanese. What inspired him to join Mister Supranational Japan was when he saw Rikuki became Mister Supranational Japan last year.
