Suné January from Rehoboth was crowned Miss Namibia 2017 during a gala held on Saturday, July 1, at Windhoek County Club. She succeeds Lizelle Esterhuizen as the new queen of Namibia. She will now represent Namibia at the next edition of Miss Universe contest. She is also expected to compete in Miss World 2017 as Miss Namibia winners usually compete in both the pageants.
Romilly Mouton was declared 1st runner-up while 2nd runner-up title went to Tessa Mutwamezi. Zandria Swart and Sunet van Schalkwyk were in the top five.
23 years old Suné January hails from Rehoboth and is a Bachelor of Computer Applications graduate.
