I&WP 2016's Host Country of the Year is Philippines


After 2015, the year 2016 couldn’t’ be any better for Philippines. It won so many pageants confirming their powerhouse status in the world of pageant. It won Indian and World Pageant’s Country of the Year twice in a row. Besides this, they hosted Miss Earth 2016 and Miss Universe 2016 though technically Miss Universe took place in Jan 2017.  Once again, pageant fans from around the world got to witness the fun, craziness, love and support of the Filipinos.


While Miss Earth 2016 was happening in its home turf as usual and year after year, people witnessed the warmth hospitality of Philippines through their beauty queens and many activities. What really made it more remarkable for Philippines was that Miss Universe 2016 took placed in its own soil. Before the pageant could get started, there were many rumours of it being pulled out from the Philippines. Finally, Miss Universe contest happened in the Philippines and the result was impressive.


Philippines played a perfect host to beautiful women from around the world for the contest. It was like going back to the era of 90’s where hosting wasn’t just about the pageant but also about the country’s culture, diversity, tourism and hospitality. We were witnessed to all this amazing things. The overwhelming public support from the locals was indeed a special and proud occasion given that the outgoing Miss Universe, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, was a Filipino. The love and support for every contestants they have was absolutely overwhelming and thrilling. The celebrity status Filipinos gave to the contestants treating them like a royal queen is something that comes from withing them. That is truly remarkable about the Filipinos. This is why Philippines is Indian and World Pageant 2016’s Host country of the year.
