Emma Carswell crowned Miss Northern Ireland 2016


Psychology student and a volunteer at suicide prevention charity Emma Carswell is the winner of Miss Northern Ireland 2016 contest. The glittering event at the Europa Hotel in Belfast was compered by UTV’s Marc Mallett and Zoe Salmon, the 1999 winner. 21 year old Emma will now represent her country at Miss World 2016 contest to be held later this year in Bali. The first runner-up in the 30th year of the contest was Megan Geddis from Templepatrick. The second runner-up was Chloe Moore from Ballymena.
