Md. Summiyya of Nellore emerged as the winner in the first ever beauty pageant ‘Tollywood Miss AP 2016’ organised on a grand scale in the newly formed State. The glittering event held at Siddhartha College of Hotel Management on Sunday was organised by city-based Sai Creative Entertainments. M. Tanurya, also from Nellore, emerged as the first runner-up, D. Devi Priya of Visakhapatnam the second runner-up.
This event was organized to give platform to the participants who wanted to enter the world of fashion, modelling and films. Gottipati Sai, CEO of Sai Creative Entertainments said the idea behind organising the pageant was to make Tollywood recongnise local talent rather choosing talent from north.
“We gave a platform to these young girls to refine themselves and foray into glamorous world,” the CEO said.
There were 17 finalists, who set the stage on fire with their ramp walk clad in beautiful attires. The stage was filled with excitement, nervousness, confidence, elegance and pride as the beautiful contestants walked the ramp showcasing different attire in each sequence. Selected from different cities of Andhra Pradesh, the other participants included P. Geethika Ratan, N. Divya, J.B. Surekha, T. Kusuma Kumari, R. Sravani, M. Suja Sree, T. Tejaswani, A. Sanjana, M.A. Teja Sumaya, Zaineesha Farooq, G. Hanoshita Harika, S. Devi, M. Sri Satya and S. Prasanna.
