Kelin Rivera from Peru is crowned the 27th World Miss University 2016



Kelin Rivera Kroll from Peru became the first woman from her country to win the title of  World Miss University 2016 in Beijing, China. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Karina Stephania Martin Jiménez from Mexico after beating about 70 other crown contenders. Miss China was adjudged as first runner up, Miss Pakistan was announced as second runner up.


Apart from the main title, there were some awards given to the contestants. Miss Nepal who was the third runner-up in the contest bagged the Miss Fitness award, Miss Indonesia won Miss Best Talent, Miss Thailand won Miss Best Dresser and Miss Philippines was awarded with Miss Best National Costume title. Miss India was adjudged the Best in Asia.


This main feature of this contest is that the contestants who are students from different universities of the world, in this case Kelin Rivera studied at the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola in the Faculty of Management and Entrepreneurship. The event is to select World Miss University Peace Corp Representatives.
