List of songs used in this year beauty pageants and my top 5.

Every time we watched beauty pageants, we always end up asking ourselves what is the background score? And it instantly becomes our favourite song for many reasons. For some, they knew the song already but like it more than ever because they saw it being used in their favourite pageants; for some, it is because the ladies walk harmoniously with the background score and for others, they don’t have to have any reason, they just like it. So here are the list of the songs/the background music used in this year beauty pageants such as Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Earth and Miss Supranational contest. And my top 5 songs:

Miss Supranational

LMFAO – Party Rock Anthem ft. Lauren Bennett, GoonRock. (Parade of National Costumes)

Taylor Swift – Shake It Off. (Opening number)

Christina Aguilera – ‘CandyMan’ (Cocktail round)

Wild Child – ‘Let me think about it’ (Black and white round)

Chandelier by Sia  (Top 10)

Miss Grand International

Fergie – A Little Never Killed Nobody (Opening Round)

Jessie J – Flashlight (Top 20)

Jenifer Lopez – Feel The Light (Top 5)

Miss Earth

“Sparks” by Hilary Duff (Swimsuit round)

The Band Perry – “Live Forever” and “Done” (Evening Gown Round)

Seal – “Everytime I’m With You and “Crazy” and “Kiss From A Rose” (The Final Look of Top 3)

Miss World

Julien Believe – “The Carribean Slide” (Dances of the World)

My Top 5 Background Score/Songs/Music

5th Place LMFAO – Party Rock Anthem ft. Lauren Bennett, GoonRock (Miss Supranational Costume)
The song is such a contrast to the national costumes but those beautiful ladies in their traditional costumes with their dance move made this number all about fun and enjoying the moment. It was contrastingly beautiful.

4th Place “Sparks” by Hilary Duff (Miss Earth Swimsuit round)
Although there wasn’t anything exceptional in this round, this is my top 5 list mainly because of the song and Hillary Duff. “Lizzie McGuire” used to be our family fav. TV show and that’s how I came to like Hillary Duff.

3rd Place – “Lean on” by major Lazer and DJ Snake. (Miss Earth Evening Round)
I like this song but it’s in the list mainly because of Miss Mongolia – Bayartsetseg Altangerel. The way she entered and started her evening gown performance, it was splendid! Only if she was there in the top 4!

2nd PlaceJulien Believe “The Carribean Slide” (Miss World Dances of the World)
Dances of the World will always be the USP of Miss World Final show. The song used in this segment pretty much match up the to those dances presented by selected ladies. It was energetic, lively and vibrant.

1st Place Charlie Puth – “Marvin Gaye” (Miss Universe Swimsuit Round)
This song will always be special for me. I have always like this song from the start and it was exciting to watch those gorgeous ladies walked on stage in swimsuit. I like the song more than ever. The song is fun, happy and feel good kind of song. It’s about wanting to get the attention of the person you like. Everytime I listen to this song, Misses Colombia, Philippines, Dominican Republic and Venezuela come to my mind. They nailed this round with their diva-like attitude, fierceness, amazing catwalk skills and stage presence. True to the meaning of the song, they really get our attention and you don’t want to miss them.

Enjoy! Have a good Day!
